Dinner in the Garden 2014
For the last couple years, each summer we have hosted a dinner in the garden where we set up a formal dinner outside and celebrate the wonderful foods that we are growing in our own and local farmers gardens. We missed last year with all of our remodeling so we were excited to get back on our normal routine. I love creating the menu and cooking some fun new foods and sharing them with our friends.

Flank Steak Tostadas with Cilantro Yogurt Sauce
We are so close to being done with our remodel! The kitchen is pretty much done and it has been so nice to be able to cook again. Countertops... you have no idea what you're missing when they're gone. And now we have 84 square feet of beautiful counter space that is perfect for everything! I've got a whole post coming soon with all the pictures you could ever want, so stay tuned.

Flank Steak with Pineapple Salsa
Hope everyone had a great Fathers Day! For us it was the weekend of steak. My wife and I went out to dinner Friday night, one of the last times we'll have without a newborn for awhile, and we had a great steak there. I had the leftovers from that Saturday for lunch and then I grilled this amazing flank steak for the family Saturday night.

Spicy Filet Mignon Salad with Ginger-Lime Dressing
I had some filet mignon left over from when I made Beef Wellington a few weeks ago and I wanted to make something a little different with it and I came across this salad from Bobby Flay. It just sounded good so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Baked Potatoes with Rib-Eye Steak Hash
I found this recipe a few years ago as I was browsing my Bon Appetit magazines and it's become one of my favorite's. It's a fun way to combine steak and potatoes and is fairly easy to put together making it a great weeknight meal that even the kids will enjoy.
