Paleo People Granola

I've got a fun quick product review for you today. I love to snack on things throughout the day but the last couple months I've been trying to eat healthier and that's seriously reduced my snacking options. I received these bags of granola from Paleo People and while I had intentions of trying to incorporate some into a recipe, I actually just ate it all. I sprinkled some of the apple crisp flavor over some ice cream, and the rest I just ate out of the bag.
The thing I've realized is that my snack choices are what tend to get me the most off track. I can plan healthier meals but I also like to eat throughout the day and if I don't have something good on hand, it ends up being something that I probably shouldn't be eating.

The Paleo Granola had great flavor and they're made with all natural ingredients. Not as important to me, but they are also wheat and gluten free so a great snack for those on a stricter diet. Their flavors include:
  • Apple Crisp
  • Banana Nut
  • Cacao Nut
  • Cappuccino Crunch

What kind of foods do you like to snack on? Would you like to try some of this granola for yourself? Leave me a comment below telling me your strategy on how you snack healthy and I'll pick a lucky winner to receive all four flavors of granola from Paleo People! You can also visit the other Virtual Potluckers to see their reviews and enter for more chances to win.

Open to US Residents only. Drawing will take place on Sunday, February 12th, 2012.

  1. I eat a lot of granola, mostly Bear Naked and Love Grown, they are great in Greek Yogurt. I've never had Paleo, but would like to try it.

  3. I would love to try this granola. The banana nut sounds especially delicious. My strategy for snacking healthy is not to keep junk in the house. I buy lots of fruit, Greek yogurt, veggies, nuts/seeds, and hummus. Occasionally, I'll have some popcorn, but I try to nourish my body with good stuff.

  5. I like snacking on whole-grain crackers and high fiber tortilla chips. I keep guacamole and hummus on hand. There's plenty of fruit on hand. I try to keep a tub of Greek yogurt on hand. I love granola but know I need to eat them in small portions---they're good on yogurt. I have an air-popper for popcorn and drizzle olive oil on it.

  8. Love that these are wheat free and made w/all natural ingredients. I try to keep snacks to fresh fruit, cut up veggies, cheese sticks, yogurt, plus dips like guacamole and hummus to dip things in.

  9. I like to snack on unsalted mixed nuts, and enjoyed the banana nut crunch granola from paleo people. I also am still really liking your new website design! http://30aeats.com/recipes/snacks/avocado-ricotta-yogurt-with-apple-crisp-granola/

  10. I usually snack on red pepper and hummus or peanut butter during the day, but my downfall is at night: these granolas would be a better alternative to my more boring usual cereal snack.

  11. I love to put granola on Greek yogurt as snack, or mix nuts, or fresh fruits.

  12. I try to portion out my snacks beforehand rather than eating straight from the bag (which would be soo easy with these 5 oz bags of granola :p). Also I try to eat some sliced veggies as snacks whenever possible!

  13. I love to snack on almonds, or any other kind of nut that I have available! I like to make my own beef jerky and dehydrated fruit also.
